Early Sunday evening, we put a wrap on the Brevard Elite Boys and Girls Super Regional tournement held this weekend at the Space Coast.
After winning their pool, the Brevard Elite 5th Grade Team advanced through the playoffs with a first round bye, a second round win against the local Brevard Knights team and a challenging championship game win against a strong East Orlando Wolves team.
Our Brevard Elite 7th Grade team moved though the weekend's challenges on its way to the championship game against the Brevard Lightning by a score of 70-59. The championship game was a rematch of Friday night's showdown between the two team in which Brevard Elite won by a similar score.
The Brevard Elite 4th/5th Grade Girls Team played well in its deput outing. The young ladies defeated the Florida Sun before falling to the SE Georgia Storm.
The Brevard Elite 4th and 6th Grade Teams earned some valuable experience by stepping up and competing in the 5th and 7th Grade Divisions respectively.
It was another great weekend for our program. Each of the young ladies and young men competed fiercly and showed great resilience under the challenges they faced. They represented themselves and the program well. We are all very proud of them.
